About A Way Out

A WAY OUT stands for At Risk Women And Youth Outreach.

The charity was founded in 2002 by Jessie Joe Jacobs when she saw a fifteen year old girl selling her own body on the streets of her home town of Stockton-on-Tees.

Since then the charity has come on a long way. It has its own premises and runs lots of projects to engage young people before they get involved in serious addiction, crime or sexual exploitation. Sadly, we can't always be there before people get trapped in these cycles but that doesn't mean we don't still get involved. A Way Out works with women and young people no matter what situation they find themselves in.
